Thank you Jonathan and for your Restack. It's lovely when someone is moved by a piece, this one was a gathering of some older pieces and a new, middle piece, it seemed to fit somehow for the end of the Year...some of the internal human wrestling and how life itself calls us back to ourselves to keep going!
These are beautiful and your allusions are sharp and strong and impactful, even if I don’t comprehend them fully. i just watched an apocalyptic movie where survivors are radioing each other messages of hope—your recording felt like that! And your closing message for 2024 was poignant—i wanted to read its poem.
Luke M., Thank you for ingesting and sitting with a felt response!
I often wonder how many readers listen to the recordings. What movie are you referring to? So much good film this year, did you see Triangle of Sadness?
Absolutely wonderful. Just what I needed on this grey rainy day of darkness before the turn of the year. I really miss our Poetry Zooms. They sustained me for the 3 years we met, and certainly more so when you joined our merry band. Sandy had enough, David's poetic well had dried up, Jake was still in, and Beth has the gas to get her well into the future. Best of the new year to you!
Peculiarly poignant and profound
