TRIGGER PLAY

The uninvited 
break 
      through mortared seam
 every broken stick
 placed on unlit pyre.

Arrive 
cartwheeling, 
conjuring forms in triplet

one to take flight
     one to admit for remittance
         one for personal record.

Invited, I play 
the game of

crack the whip
last in line
                    —- thrown
